I have worked on items for humans, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, horses, band fields, floors and their props & flags, stage props, car interiors, and home accessories. It is always an adventure when someone says, "I heard that you sew, can you possibly make me a...." and I like an adventure the best.
My mother taught me hand embroidery at the age of four and hand sewing the next year. In middle school picked up crocheting, needlepoint, and several other unique craft skills. When my first child was born, I decided it was time to learn the sewing machine and started sewing for the two of us. It quickly turned into making costumes for customers at the fabric store that I was working at and then the community theatre where I was performing. In 2018, it was suggested that I return to school to pursue my love of sewing costumes, entered Winthrop University for a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Technical Design with a focus on costumes. Graduated on the 4th of May, 2024.
